Healing Peaks

Triumph Over Trauma, One Peak at a Time.

Healing Peaks is a virtual platform that fosters spaces for those within the communities we serve to strengthen their social, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing by speaking from lived experiences.

T2 spaces aim to help redirect trauma into triumph, educate and strengthen participants to listen from the heart and fashion a liberated space for participants to be open, free, and encouraged. During these sessions, co-facilitated by mental health professionals and community leaders, participants can share their insights, gain support, and acquire tools and resources to help them in their day-to-day lives.

The Healing Peaks framework incorporates an array of healing modalities such as Tai Chi, meditation, guided imagery, somatic healing, yoga, and so much more.

At its core, Healing Peaks is a wellness model that prompts an evolution from internal healing to external empowerment, paving the way for individual and collective holistic development and growth.

Community Court Support

Court Support is a peer-to-peer community support project that mobilizes to prevent communities and families from being broken and lost to government agencies and systems. We achieve this by offering access to basic knowledge and understanding of criminal proceedings and interactions with government agencies.

Our assistance includes: mobilizing family and community to stand with their loved ones, facilitating improved communication with their public defenders or attorneys, assisting in securing transportation to the courthouse for the person charged and court supporters, providing trial clothes, information on appropriate dress code, familiarizing individuals with the rules of the courthouse, and encouraging the person to actively participate in their defense.

TWEEKS:

TWEEKS, which stands for Triumphant Wellness Economic Empowerment KickStarter, is an initiative aimed at disrupting the disproportionate representation and barriers that future black leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals encounter. Through the TWEEKS program, we provide professional support services, such as resume writing, business startup assistance, and mentorship. Additionally, in collaboration with community partners and sponsors, T2 offers financial literacy education and income-generating opportunities that directly benefit the communities we serve.

We also offer a range of career development and coaching services, including professional study hours, assistance with financial aid applications for education, career interest inventories, and mental health support. We recognize that emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals may often feel discouraged from pursuing their professional ambitions due to a lack of capital and practical know-how. Our aim is to provide the necessary resources and accessibility to propel our communities forward.

POVERTY IS SYSTEMIC VIOLENCE

Trainings & Facilitated Conversations

We provide in-person or virtual training across the nation. Our training/workshops are conducted and designed by a team of triumphant impacted and academic voices with a vision to move forward from past indiscretions to an equitable future.

Anti-Racial Bias Training

This interactive training is for public, private, and non-profit sector entities who wish to proactively support themselves and their staff in moving forward towards a more just society, and away from conflict and litigation because of conscious & unconscious racial and gender bias.

Gender Inclusivity Training

In this current age, gender plays a de minimis role in our abilities to perform our social obligations. However, gender and gender-roles have also polarized us and impacted our abilities to engage with each other. The influx of new terms and identities has also created confusion and isolation. This popular training will discuss concepts of gender, gender identity, and sexuality in a safe and affirming setting of engagement and learning.

Conflict De-escalation

This training workshop focuses on equipping participants with recognizing and defusing conflict by transforming disagreements into learning moments and avoiding workplace disruption. We as a society spend the majority of our time with co-workers and disagreements, which are a natural part of human interaction. In order for these disagreements to not turn into full-fledged conflicts that result in lawsuits, one must actively choose to approach the issue as a partner rather than an adversary. We assist entities with proactively addressing discord through conflict management and de-escalation strategies.
